holiday party 2024
Chicago, IL – December 6, 2024 – A community hall in Pilsen was filled with the sounds of laughter, music, and heartfelt joy as “Teens for Migrants” co-founders, Peter and Francesca, hosted their second annual holiday party for migrant children and their families.
What started as a small idea to give back has quickly become a cherished tradition. Peter and Frances, both first-generation Americans, understand deeply the challenges migrant families face—because their own families once faced them too. For them, this event is more than just a party; it’s a way to honor their roots and uplift their community.
With the help of family, friends, and generous donors, the teens spent weeks collecting toys, wrapping presents, and organizing activities. Their efforts paid off. Children lined up eagerly to meet Santa Claus, beaming as they received carefully selected gifts and posed for photos. Long tables offered delicious food—that brought a sense of comfort and celebration to all who came.
As the night came to a close, the spirit of the evening lingered in the form of grateful smiles, full bellies, and children clutching their new toys. Peter and Francesca had not only brought holiday cheer to dozens of families—they’d reminded everyone what the season is truly about: giving, gratitude, and the power of community.
